Opportunity Summary

Reporting to the Project Director, as the Senior Project Manager, you will be part of a team that collaborates to drive creative solutions for our clients and internal/external stakeholders. We are looking to hire a Senior Project Manager to join our team and manage a $75 million + high rise new build.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project lifecycle from start to finish includes relations profitability and schedule adherence.
  2. Play an active role in business development, proposal submissions, interviews, presentations, client/consultant relationship management.
  3. Work closely with the site team to develop the project plan, engineering methods and monitor the project schedule.
  4. Develop recovery strategies when project schedule or budget is in jeopardy.
  5. Understand and enforce prime contract and subcontract responsibilities.
  6. Negotiate and issue subcontracts, major purchase orders and monitor their progress and schedule.
  7. Work with accounting department to ensure project accounting is accurate and timely.
  8. Prepare and issue progress applications to owner according to established schedules.
  9. Review/approve subcontractor applications for payment and expedite owner payment from within contract terms.
  10. Process all change orders, including negotiating and assessing cost and schedule impact.
  11. Manage all facets of project close-out, including archiving of documents, maintenance and warranty manuals, deficiencies, and warranty work.
  12. Participate in tender closings when requested.
  13. Supervise, mentor, coach, and train project personnel.
  14. Establish and maintain positive relationships with external and internal clients and represent the company at industry functions and events.

Qualifications

  1. 5+ years of Project Management experience working on high-rise residential or commercial concrete projects with a spend of at least $50 million+.
  2. University or college diploma in a relevant construction/engineering program.
  3. Strong computer skills including experience using MS Office, Scheduling & PM software with Procore.
  4. Experience in all forms of contracts and delivery methods.
  5. Sound knowledge in the review and negotiation of contracts for construction projects.
  6. Strong technical, business, financial and legal acumen.
  7. Effective communication skills (oral, written, presentations), including the ability to successfully translate technical information to non-technical individuals.
  8. Demonstrated leadership skills, including strong teambuilding capabilities.
  9. Knowledge of key principles involved in bid preparation, including quantity take off procedures sub-trade procurement, pricing and bid closing procedures.
  10. Excellent relationship building skills and ability problem solve.
