Position Summary
The Senior Project Manager specializing in IT infrastructure will manage complex projects related to IT infrastructure systems. Leveraging their extensive experience and expertise, he/she will lead all aspects of the project scope, budget, and schedule. This role requires a deep understanding of IT infrastructure technologies, project management methodologies, and exceptional leadership skills to drive innovation and achieve strategic objectives.

ResponsIbilities
- Support senior leadership to scope IT infrastructure projects and support kick-start activities.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, objectives, timelines, resource allocation, and budget estimates, to support project execution.
- Lead project teams, providing guidance, support, and oversight throughout the project lifecycle.
- Drive project execution efforts, ensuring adherence to project plans, timelines, and quality standards, while mitigating risks and addressing issues proactively.
- Foster collaboration and communication among cross-functional teams, including architects, developers, and operations team to achieve project objectives.
- Facilitate alignment between IT infrastructure projects and other organizational initiatives to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
- Work with IT Infrastructure managers to allocate resources effectively to support IT infrastructure project activities, including personnel, technology resources, and third-party services.
- Identify risks associated with IT infrastructure projects, developing, and implementing mitigation plans to ensure project success.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, maintaining regular communication and managing expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide timely and transparent updates on project status, risks, and issues to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
- The creation of an asset management database that will focus on the financial and physical attributes of IT assets, from acquisition to decommissioning.
- The creation of a configuration management database (CMDB) from various existing inventories. The CMDB will focus on systems and interconnections to support IT services.
- The development of processes for the IT operations team to help manage the entire IT assets lifecycle.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field.
- Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, ITIL Expert, CISSP) preferred.
- Extensive experience (typically 8+ years) in project management, with a focus on IT infrastructure projects in complex enterprise environments.
- Understanding of IT infrastructure technologies and architecture, including networks, servers, storage, virtualization, cloud computing, and cybersecurity.
- Strong knowledge in project management tools and processes.
- Good ability to document and communicate in English and French.
