Duration: 1-year Contract (240 days) with a 6-Month Option Year
Location: Hybrid - Ottawa

Overview: Our government client is currently seeking an experienced Senior Project Management Consultant to lead interdepartmental and departmental business process transformation activities. The successful candidate will engage with key stakeholders and clients to advance technologies and analytics within the financial domain.
Mandatory Requirements

  • Holds a business/commerce degree from a recognized post-secondary institution.
  • Possesses a Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years' experience in project management activities.
  • Project Manager on at least two (2) Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) transformational projects for a minimum of six (6) consecutive months each.
  • Five (5) years of experience on complex SAP projects for a Canadian federal department, agency, or corporation.
  • Minimum five (5) years' experience providing strategic advice to senior management.
  • Strategic advice and formal briefings to senior management regarding interdepartmental and departmental change initiatives for a minimum of ten (10) years.
  • Three (3) years' experience in project management related activities for SAP S/4 HANA projects.
  • SAP Activate Project Management certification.
  • Three (3) years' experience in managing projects using SAP's Activate methodology.
  • Experience leading IT-enabled projects with components like SAP ERP, SAP Business Intelligence, SAP Business Objects, SAP HANA, SAP S/4 HANA, Master Data Governance, Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC).
  • Experience providing services related to project management for complex SAP projects for a Canadian federal department, agency, or corporation.
  • Provided strategic advice and guidance to Senior Management of a Canadian Government department or agency regarding the functional and/or organizational change management impacts of the Digital Comptrollership Programs' Digital Core on their business.
Tasks
  • Create an integrated Project Plan for Transformation initiatives.
  • Manage, monitor, and update the integrated schedule of all projects, integrating financial business process improvements, and tracking communications.
  • Advise on the adequacy of the integrated project plan, define deliverables, identify key milestones, and engage in ongoing risk management and quality assurance reviews.
  • Develop status dashboards, identify critical activities, and determine critical paths.
  • Identify, analyze, monitor, and respond to risks over the life cycle of transformation projects.
  • Work closely with the Project Director on project management, focusing on a roadmap and ensuring they have all the tools for success.
  • Assess and advise on documentation for reports, returns, and stakeholder impacts.
  • Provide guidance to senior management and identify linkages with other interdepartmental initiatives requiring alignment and integration with Finance initiatives.
  • Assist in reviewing and creating documents for various initiatives and provide advice and briefings to the Director and the DG attending governance bodies.
Note: Candidates must possess Secret Level II security clearance.
