This position is responsible for leading the deployments and product upgrades of new systems through software installations and troubleshooting, ensuring the successful configuration, commissioning, calibration, and validation of products both installed and existing. Whilst providing a higher level of knowledge to Modular across all products and maintaining the highest safety standard.

The successful candidate will be based at our office in Milton, Queensland (candidates located near the Komatsu Rutherford office will also be considered) with regular travel to mine sites. This position is full-time, permanent.

Travel Requirements

Up to 40%.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Execute the deployment of new systems through software installations and configurations to ensure system functionality and integrity. 
  • Complete system upgrades with customers including gap analysis, system functionality and testing. 
  • Troubleshoot networks, wireless communications and Modular applications at customers sites by utilising SQL, FORMs and Unix/Linux Shell Scripting knowledge. 
  • Completes functional requirements as per the scope of work such as UAT (User Acceptance Testing). 
  • Identifies and escalates issues and risks throughout the project which may affect the execution to the appropriate person. 
  • Ensure all site access, qualifications, certifications and medicals are maintained and current. 
  • Collaborates and communicates across business units within Modular to achieve goals and objectives. 
  • Complies with corporate Project processes.
  • To maintain compliance to all legislative, Modular and customer site policies, rules, and requirements. 
  • Reinforce awareness and demonstrate commitment that safety is our top priority and “zero accidents” is achievable. 

The senior role includes additional responsibilities: 

  • Understand customer needs and contractual requirements of the project. (Deliver quality work, on time and within budget / time frame specified). 
  • Mentoring of engineers / peers within the team. 
  • Develop and maintain relationships with the customers.

Required Skills

  • Tertiary qualification in a related field and/or trade qualified or related experience.
  • Solid experience in MTS product or related experience from a similar field.
  • Computer skills with knowledge of computing languages such as C, C ++, SQL and scripting languages is desired. 
  • Basic knowledge of mining operations.
