Job Description

We’re looking for a high-performing, multi-disciplinary unicorn to join our Architecture & Interior Design studio - Someone who can manage projects through all phases, mentor co-workers, and design their own architectural gems. Unrealistic brief?Perhaps, but since we over-achieve for our clients, we’re aiming high for ourselves. So, if you’re obsessed with what you do, we want to hear from you.Davignon Martin Architecture + Interior Design is a well established firm headquartered in Calgary Alberta. We are expanding into the Toronto market and have set up office in the East Room in Riverside. We are searching for a Seasoned Project Architect interested in managing work that is performed by teams comprised of co-workers in both Toronto and Calgary. We are looking for people with strong conceptual design skills and advanced technical knowledge to enhance our team and create inspiring architecture. You will be asked to participate as a Project Architect on an interesting and extensive range of projects inclusive of high-end hospitality, commercial tower repurposing and multi-family residential typologies to name a few. You will be brought into each project from the onset and will carry the projects through construction reviews and administration. You will be working using different programs including REVIT and CAD on medium to large scale projects with teams of people who reside in both Calgary and Toronto. Perhaps you’ve noticed, DMA+id is extremely metric and forthright – nearly to a fault. These qualities make us more efficient so we can enjoy additional time to design creatively without impacting profitability. As Project Architect, you understand this approach and rise to the occasion. Whether it’s assessing a project’s performance or supporting the partners by bringing solutions to the table, you perform with positive energy and effort. For a glimpse into the types of projectsthat we do, visit davignonmartin.ca Qualifications:· You will be asked to demonstrate that you have worked in the above capacity, in the local market for a minimum of eight years;· A high proficiency in both REVIT and AutoCad will be an asset in assisting with review processes and communicating the design intent;· You will require a high aptitude in learning management software. The ability to interact positively with clients, consultants, contractors and your internal team is required. You must have a strong desire and commitment to contribute to the quality of the work that this studio will produce. We know we’re not for everyone. Our drive and our passion are a little “extra.” But if you’re the type of person who’s a little “extra” yourself, maybe we’re a perfect match.
