They are about the build and strengthen their presence in the Alberta market and looking for a Senior Production Underwriter to be their “flag waver”. Don’t be misled by the small size, they already won numerous industry awards and successfully competed with the big players without blinking an eye. ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY As the newest member, your main responsibility will be establishing the company’s market presence by building and underwriting a diverse and profitable P&C portfolio. This is a great opportunity for Senior Underwriters who are not afraid to step outside the box and have the desire to grow into a Senior Leadership role. ABOUT THE POSITION Underwriting and negotiating complex risk placements Growing and retaining a diverse P&C book of business Identifying business development opportunities Developing regional campaigns, new products, and specialty commercial programs Proactively assisting with the execution of new market strategy plans with the Senior Leadership team THE REQUIREMENTS Minimum 8 years of commercial underwriting experience Previous experience working at an MGA Proven track record in Business Development A deep understanding of a wide range of commercial lines of business in casualty including cyber, construction, manufacturing, professional lines, environmental Strong decision-making and negotiation skills COMPENSATION $100,000 - $150,000 base salary negotiable depending on experience plus performance bonus Education assistance program Fully remote option within Alberta HOW TO APPLY Please apply directly to this posting with the most recent version of your resume.
