This Sr. Product Marketing Manager (PMM) role will be responsible for the Endpoint Security products and work closely with the Endpoint Product Manager and Product Managers. PMMs at WatchGuard create marketing messages and content that elicit interest and drive engagement with our target audiences.
A Day in the Life
You will start your day by responding to a few emails before you head into some meetings. You see an email from our Field Marketing Manager in EMEA making a request for a new asset that they need for a marketing program…and as it turns out, you just finished a new buyer’s guide that should work perfectly. You quickly jump on Microsoft Teams for your regular weekly meeting with the Product Manager for your product line. They go through an upcoming product launch, and you start building out the launch project and align on assignments and deadlines for each component. Then, you transition to a meeting with the Creative and Web teams to review a revamped webpage designed to reinforce the competitive differentiators of a specific feature within your product line. You drafted the copy already and will now collaborate on the graphics and consider the webpage template options together. Then, you might do some reading over lunch and/or take a walk around the block. In the second half of the day, you’ve blocked out time to do some writing. You are working on a training deck and a core piece of content to help Channel Development Managers engage in meaningful sales conversations with a targeted set of prospective partners. When you reach a good stopping point, you take a moment to check in with the Sales Engineering lead to learn about some challenges they are experiencing with positioning the product and demonstrating value. You finish your day preparing a few slides to present key status updates and action items for an upcoming release to share with the team in the weekly product launch meeting.
