It will be entrepreneurial, innovative, and customer-centric in its approach, with a strategic objective that addresses the unique needs of everyday Canadians. POSITION SUMMARY

The (Senior) Product Manager plays a pivotal role in shaping the end-to-end customer journey and experience of the new division. Within a small and scrappy team, you will collaborate closely with Engineering, Design, Growth, Research, Senior Leadership, and other internal partners across HomeEquity Bank to achieve key business outcomes by solving critical customer problems.

In this role, you will ensure an exceptional experience for target customers in the Canadian market by continuously addressing customer problems, improving products, and optimizing processes throughout the customer journey.

The role’s title and level will be determined based on the candidate’s experience and qualifications.

MAJOR ELEMENTS OF THE ROLE

Key accountabilities of this position include:

  • In partnership with the Director of Product & Technology, define the product strategy
  • Own the product roadmap by setting goals and outcomes for both the business and customers, and getting input and buy-in from key stakeholders
  • Collaborate closely with the Growth Manager to launch and text experiments in order to drive conversion of our sales funnel
  • Effectively prioritize and define growth experiments and product features so that Engineering, Design, Growth, and Business Operations can collaboratively & efficiently build and execute
  • Engage with customers to understand their motivations, pain points and identify opportunities to prioritize for meeting roadmap objectives
  • Keep informed of industry changes, market opportunities and threats
  • Partner closely with Engineering, Design, and other internal teams to drive discovery and delivery success
  • Partner with HEB Compliance, Risk and Legal teams to ensure you deliver a compliant product and experience in a highly regulated environment
  • Foster and facilitate timely decision-making across a broad network of stakeholders, delivery partners, and operational & customer success teams.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of product management or equivalent experience
  • You've built successful onboarding experiences in the past and bring a hypothesis driven, experiment-first approach
  • A proven track record in building strong partnerships with cross-functional teams
  • Experience leading the day-to-day execution (discovery and delivery) with cross functional teams (i.e. design, engineering, growth/marketing, operations, compliance, legal)
  • Experience with translating complex/technical requirements to non-technical team members
  • Experience building in a regulated industry (ideally Fintech startups)
