Job Description

Position Summary:

Reporting to the Director, Product Management, the Senior Product Manager (Deposits) at Haventree Bank will play a critical role in shaping our new direct-to-consumer product portfolio. You’ll be accountable for articulating the vision and defining the strategy for our consumer deposit products including building out and implementing a new digital banking initiative and enhancing ongoing activities related to the DTC product.

This role will be responsible for making recommendations to senior leaders for functionality and usability of deposit products, leading the end-to-end product development process of the DTC deposits build, and be a customer advocate through the design and development process. The objective of this role is to drive the building of new consumer products and help ensure their commercial and financial viability.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Coll aborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, and compliance, to define consumer deposit products including registered and non-registered products (Chq, Sav, TFSA, RSP, FHSA) roadmap, to drive deposit growth and profitability.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, customer needs, and opportunities.
  • Stay informed on industry leading practices and trends, incorporating an external market lens and being mindful of regulatory requirements and developments to suppor t growth opportunities and customer needs.
  • Define customer experiences that mitigate risks associated with fraud, money laundering, and other security concerns.

Product Development

  • Support and, when required, lead enterprise level initiatives through the product lifecycle and provide high-quality results on time and on budget.
  • Develop a framework for partnership, set KPIs that help to drive high quality decis ion-making.
  • Own the execution of your team's projects; excelling at keeping the product backlog up-to-date and prioritized, integrating projects into sprints, release management, gathering feedback and iterating on releases.

Product Management

  • Contribute to successful P&L for assigned products, constantly seeing opportunities to enhance revenue and minimize costs- proven financial acumen.
  • Continually review key product and performance measurements to capitalize on market opportunities, assess success of product offering, identify actions necessary and lead corrective actions.
  • Develop offers, campaigns and strategic initiatives to increase acquisition and grow balances through propensity models and optimized pricing, increase funded accounts and drive sticky deposit and payment behaviors.
  • Stakeholder Management: This job interacts on a regular basis with senior/executive management and various departments (Legal, Compliance, Treasury, Finance, Risk Management) and external vendors as required.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Strong organization and time management skills with a high level of attention to accuracy and details.
  • Expertise on prioritization techniques based on advanced knowledge of strategic priorities of the bank and data-driven insights.
  • Be able to articulate and apply a methodical framework to solve problems.
  • Technically inclination or comfort with technical concepts to produce detailed-oriented requirements, contribute on technical discussions on concepts, architecture and APIs that enable your team to ship high quality features.

  • Able to think laterally and find innovative solutions to support strategy.
  • Able to influence and collaborate with partners with diverse points of view and build consensus as well as to establish credibility and rapport with a broad set of partners quickly.

Degrees, Diplomas & Certifications:

  • This position requires a graduate or post graduate degree in business, engineering, analytics or marketing or an equivalent level of education and work experience.

Years of Experience Required to Perform the Job:

  • Four (4) + years of proven experience in managing Deposits Products
  • Led e nd-to-end development (0-1 launch) of B2C digital products, preferably in the financial domain.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills. Ability to communicate sophisticated business and technical concepts to a broad range of technical and non-technical staff, tailoring messages and stories to the appropriate audience.
