Role Description As a Product Designer, you will: Lead the design process from concept to implementation. Conduct user research and apply insights to design. Create high-fidelity prototypes or mockups to effectively communicate designs. Design intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces. Effectively communicate designs and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement them. Develop and implement design strategies aligned with product goals, standards and architecture. Develop, maintain, and scale the compass design system for use across product modules. Conduct usability testing, ensure accessibility, and mentor junior designers. About you ~5+ years of experience designing web based software applications; B2B/Fintech experience is a plus. ~ Experience working with cross-functional product, design, and engineering teams in an agile/lean environment. ~ Expertise in using design thinking and human-centered design methodologies to facilitate the design process ~ A drive to really understanding and confirming the problem before designing a solution. ~ Experience with building and maintaining a design system in Figma and working with developers to maintain a design system in coded design system. ~ Proficient with design specification/dev handoff to include designs for ( design system usage, interaction design, copywriting, i18n, a11y, error handling, and handling data variations etc.) ~ Strong prototyping and interaction design skills, either with graphic tools or in HTML/CSS/JS. ~ Great written and spoken communication skills ~ Self-starting on projects and working from a position of ambiguity is very beneficial ~ Familiarity with accessibility guidelines and techniques for making web-based software accessible is an asset
