About Botsford AssociatesBotsford Associates is a boutique consulting firm dedicated to supporting major financial institutions. We are seeking an experienced Senior Product Designer to join our team and contribute to the continued build-out of a major trading and wealth management product offering.Team/Program OverviewPartnering with a leader in custody, trade execution, and brokerage solutions.Collaborating with a diverse group of Portfolio Managers, Investment Dealers, and Investment Fund Managers.Role OverviewAs a Senior Product Designer, you will: Lead the design process from concept to implementation in a dynamic, start-up-like environment.Conduct user research and apply insights to your designs, confidently presenting and defending your concepts to senior stakeholders.Create high-fidelity prototypes or mock-ups and effectively communicate your designs.Design intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces.Develop and implement design strategies aligned with product goals, standards, and architecture.Develop, maintain, and scale design systems for use across product modules.Conduct usability testing, ensure accessibility, and mentor junior designers.Required Skills:3+ years of experience designing web-based software applications; B2B and Fintech experience is a plus.Experience working with cross-functional product, design, and engineering teams in an Agile/Lean environment.Must be able to do Journey Mapping, Pain-Point Identification and be AnalyticalShould be comfortable working with Vendors and providing them with detailed design documents/specifications for some aspects of the system buildExpertise in design thinking and human-centered design methodologies.Proficiency in specifying design interactions and attributes such as spacing, color, and typography.Strong prototyping and interaction design skills, using graphic tools or working with HTML/CSS/JS.Preferably experience using Figma but other similar tools are also okayExcellent verbal and written communication skills.Self-starter with the ability to thrive in ambiguity.Familiarity with accessibility guidelines and techniques for making web-based software accessible is a plus.
