You will collaborate with your cross functional group to define roadmaps and goals to create beautifully designed products.
This role is currently available to candidates located in Canada.
About the Team:
Our Product Design team consists of 8 talented designers who come from a variety of experience backgrounds. They lead the end to end design process and are involved in everything from research, ideation to launch. Each designer is embedded in a squad that focuses on different parts of Vidyard’s product.
This designer will sit on our Growth team. Our Growth team is an autonomous organization that is responsible for accelerating Vidyard’s investments in Product-Led Growth and Self-Service, by rapidly experimenting across the user lifecycle. Our cross-functional team is staffed with Data, Engineering, Design and Marketing talent, and we’re responsible for delivering high-impact experiments that tangibly improve our users’ experience with our products. We’re passionate about A/B testing and validating hypotheses with data, as well as about maintaining high standards of software quality and performance. We collaborate with teams across all parts of the business to drive user acquisition, engagement, retention and monetization.
What You’ll Work On:
Identifying problem areas, understanding user needs and designing solutions that enhance user onboarding, activation, retention and monetization.
Designing delightful experiences across Vidyard’s website and product
Conducting user testing to validate design solutions
Creating wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs to effectively communicate and test your ideas.
Designing the end to end user experience of our video creation, and editing tools
Conducting user research initiatives to identify user needs, behaviours, and opportunities
Rapid ideation of multiple design concepts and prototypes
Conducting user testing to validate design solutions
Collaborating with the design team to create a high quality, cohesive user experience
Documenting design decisions, processes, and outcomes to ensure that product designs are consistent and can be replicated in the future
As a Senior Product Designer You Can Expect to:
Own the UX Design strategy on the Growth team, partnering with your Product Manager and Engineering peers to ensure that designs meet user, technical and business requirements
Accelerate Vidyard’s PLG motion by designing experiences that drive user acquisition, activation, retention and monetization
Use a combination of data and qualitative user feedback to inform design decisions
Experiment fast, and learn even faster
Give and receive regular feedback in design critiques (with the Product Design organization) to improve product and web experiences
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in product-led growth
Iterate and drive experimentation through design
What You’ll Bring to this Role and Your New Team:
5+ years of design experience at a product-led growth organization, ideally with a freemium to paid product
A strong portfolio demonstrating your ability to design experiences that connect users to product value.
Experience conducting user research, usability testing, and A/B testing to inform design decisions.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment and can easily adapt to changing priorities. You are capable of executing with speed, without compromising on the quality of your work
Experience with A/B testing and experimentation methodologies
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a passion for working with cross-functional teams and learning from the people in them
A willingness to roll up your sleeves and learn new things every day
Comfort with failure: you focus on learning from failures versus being demotivated by them
A passion for all things Product-Led Growth!
