Job Description

Job Description Key Accountabilities:

Work to improve manufacturing processes and methods for cost-reduction, quality improvement, and efficiency by performing various analysis of production processes and operational procedures.

Implement lean manufacturing measures for continuous improvement of production processes including increased Quality, Capacity, and Profit margins.

Confer with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes including estimating production times, staffing requirements, and related costs.

Coordinate with R&D concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods.

He/she analyzes and plans work force utilization, space requirements, and workflow, and designs layout of equipment and work space for maximum efficiency.

Participate in New Product Development with product trials, modification, and quoting.

Ideal Requirements:

Degree or diploma in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or engineering/technical related field (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, etc.)

Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.

Proven track record of success in an automotive manufacturing environment. Tier 1 automotive operations experience ideal.

Excellent analytical ability, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Well-rounded understanding of core engineering principles & design methods.
