Our team has an immediate permanentopening for a Senior Principal Researcher.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a small (2-3 PhDs) or a large group to define, prototype and productize AI related product feature on Huawei CBG products as well as implement academic research in corresponding field.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., product managers, engineers) and supervise Huawei CBG research cooperation projects in Canada.
- Develop and implement research methodologies to achieve deliverable target and business goal.
- Analyze and interpret research findings, drawing insightful conclusions and keep track of the latest advancement in related research and identify opportunities for application with CBG products.
- Author and co-author research papers for publication in top academic conferences and journals.
- Present research findings to internal and external stakeholders, effectively communicating complex technical concepts.
- Mentor and guide junior researchers.
What you'll bring to the team:
- Experience with popular AI project (industry-level or open-source) or groundbreaking solution for hard problem or impactful research or similar achievement.
- PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field from a top university globally.
- Have established yourself in the research communities and/or in the industry with a proven track of record in academic/industry publications, at least one (ACL, ICLR, AAAI, COLING、ICML and NeurIPS etc.).
- Passion for innovation and a desire to translate research into real-world applications, robust and scalable.
- Creative, collaborative and innovation focused.
