The Opportunity:WSP is currently seeking an experienced Senior Planner/Project Manager to join WSP’s Urban and Community Planning practice in our Dartmouth office. Reporting to the Manager of Planning, this position will be responsible for leading a wide range of municipal planning policy and land development projects. You can expect to be engaged in a diverse array of projects undertaken in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary, and dynamic business environment. Come find out for yourself what it's like to be a part of our journey.We offer attractive pay, flexible work options, a great corporate culture, comprehensive and employee-focused benefits including virtual healthcare and a wellness platform as well as great savings programs, and a clear vision for the future.#WeAre WSPWhat you can expect to do here:Preparing policy and zoning reviews for municipal and development clients;Preparing municipal planning documents such as municipalplans, zoning/land use by-laws, and secondary plans;Conducting research and presenting planning analyses;Obtaining planning and development approvals;Organizing, participating in and facilitating public and stakeholder engagement processes;Coordinating with multiple disciplines and regions across Canada;Leading and coordinating proposals for internal and external clients;Carrying out business development and client service tasks;Fulfilling project management tasks and responsibilities; andOther duties as assigned.What you’ll bring to WSP :University degree in Planning;5+ years of progressive experience in a municipal or consulting environment;Full membership in the Canadian Institute of Planners;Ability to support and grow our local Atlantic Canadian team through ongoing business development efforts;Designation as a Project Management Professional (PMP) will be considered an asset;Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, query, analyze, and effectively communicate information;Demonstrated skills in project management, including management of multi-disciplinary teams;Highly motivated, organized, flexible, enthusiastic team player committed to upholding our reputation for delivering high quality service;Excellent written and oral communication and time management skills;Valid Nova Scotia Driver’s License.Bilingualism is considered an asset.#J-18808-Ljbffr
