About the opportunity

Reporting into The Payroll Manager this is an end-to-end payroll function within Holcim Australia and New Zealand. Ensuring compliance with all statutory & legislative requirements as well as with all Holcim policies and procedures. As a senior member of the payroll function you work within a high performing and cohesiveteam of payroll specialists to deliver timely, efficient and customer focused professional payroll services.

You will be responsible for:

  • Providing Payroll services that are reliable, accurate, timely, cost effective, transparent and user-friendly
  • Coordination and management of entire payroll function including completion of weekly, fortnightly and monthly payruns
  • Ensure all payroll processing conforms to various legislative requirements, Awards and Collective and Enterprise Agreements
  • Ensure appropriate governance and audit of payrolls (tax compliance, superannuation, etc.)
  • Develop and implement effective and compliant payroll procedures
  • Ensure accounting entries associated with the Payroll process are accurate and timely. Work closely with the accounting team to ensure systems and processes align
  • Ensure accurate completion of all end of month and end of financial year payroll processes
  • Play an active role in optimising customer relationships, with a view to limiting risk, improving collection initiatives and ensuring best outcome for Holcim Australia and New Zealand.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Significant experience in Payroll services;
  • NZ Payroll experience favourable
  • Extensive experience leading or managing a team with a good understanding of people.
  • Expert level in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent working knowledge of Chris21,
  • Knowledge of Kronos, SAP and scanning technology preferred
  • Strong analytical skills, problem solving abilities and sound business and financial acumen
