Our Digital Workforce Experience (DWE) team develops and supports all end point, collaboration, identity and innovative tools that touch over 8000 ResMedians globally on a day-to-day basis. We are a team that focuses on building and enhancing systems, applications and infrastructure to provide the best productivity solutions. Our goal is to make a day in the life of every ResMedian easier.

This Senior Platform Engineering Okta role will act as a design, build and enhance role helping to execute on all systems DWE builds focusing on Okta specifically. You will help enable Okta Platform Engineers to be able to support the business in an effective and secure manner while innovating our Okta environment. DWE is a full cycle team that builds and provides support to our Technical Support team as well as other IT business units, and end users. Therefore, as a Senior and thought leader of this space, there is a broad focus on understanding the cross functional BU’s that require IAM, SSO and ease of app entry into our ecosystem. You will be a person who listens to what the business needs, have a focus on user experience and drive innovation in a secure and effective manner while enhancing your skills and ResMed’s IAM structures and capabilities.

Let's talk about responsibilities: 

Provide thought leadership through participation in industry standards for Okta roadmapping and best practices.

Drive and help define the global roadmap for Identity and Access Management while ensuring scalability, resilience and a seamless end user experience. 

Conduct POCs of new access management products and services to validate integration needs. 

Coaching, mentoring, and lead the Okta Platform Engineers globally, helping to develop their skills and see the impact they are making across the organization.

Build out SOP’s, and consistency across the team striving for excellence.

Integrate IAM systems with in-house applications, third party applications and SaaS applications for provisioning, identity authentication, and developing connectors between IAM tools and system resources. 

Implement OKTA integration for our business application using OIN or SAML auth.

Set up org2org and SCIM configuration in OKTA.

Partner with peer delivery organizations within IT to drive secure solutions without being a road-block. 

Work across functions to improve IAM solutions to enhance compliance requirements and best practices. 

Drive team to document system configurations, standards, and procedures ensuring industry and security standards are met.

Participate in ongoing compliance, monitoring, and strategy discussions. Ensure audit requirements for the Okta ecosystem are met and be the point of contact for all requirements.

Be the voice and brand for the Okta ecosystem, ensuring communication to the end users is effective and what is needed for each specific user. 

Work at consistently learning new leadership skills that will help develop and enhance the teams skills.

Build a team culture of curiosity, improvement and jumping in headfirst to try new things.

Drive to educate cross functional teams skills in the IAM space that will result in a better end user experience.

Develop and maintain documentation relating to ResMed Active Directory and Azure Active Directory environments 

Actively listen and develop robust solutions for new challenges and developments through their lifecycle.

Demonstrate a proven track record in building, executing and managing enterprise IAM initiatives in a complex organizational environment. 

Demonstrate experience in creating IAM processes, implementing and integrating appropriate technologies, and evolving/maturing organizational cultures and processes. 

Let's talk about qualifications:

5 progressive years of experience building Identity & Access Management services or IAM this must be including but not limited to an Okta environment. You know how to ask questions, dig for answers and find innovative solutions while working in a team environment. 

Drive to build solutions that will solve global, cross BU issues in a scalable and sustainable way.

Knowledge and experience with Identity Management solutions, Kerberos, SSO, OAuth, SAML, Encryption, PKI 

Experience with conditional access controls on access management solutions (e.g., Azure AD, Okta) 

Sound judgment and ability to effectively balance information risk controls with business productivity and growth. 

Ability to communicate technical information to diverse audiences. 

Previous experience deploying upgrades and conducting UAT.

Experience supporting Microsoft suite of tools 

Excellent written communication to build technical documentation, standards, and procedures 

Proven ability to work effectively within a collaborative scrum team supporting both project initiatives and operational requests.

Ability to work collaboratively across interdisciplinary teams and manage relationships across multiple areas of the business including Audit, Compliance, and other executive stakeholders 

You will have excellent written and spoken skills and clearly express ideas, requirements, and design, in written form. 

Experience in End Point Technical Customer Support experience is preferable. 

Communication and follow up are the keys to success in this role. If you don’t like to connect with end users (customers/ResMedian’s), this is not the team for you.

Total Base Pay Range

  • 106,000.00 - 133,000.00 - 160,000.00 CAD Annual
