Our clients Information Systems is seeking a resource to join their Network Infrastructure Operations team. The successful candidate will work within the existing team to help with the design and implementation of the various components of the LAN/WAN/WLAN infrastructure. The resource will follow team standards based on current industry and security best practices for the configuration and implementations of network infrastructure. The resource MUST have a minimum 7 years of recent and practical network engineer experience, including 5 years in a senior network engineer role.1.2 Description of RequirementsIdeally, the resource will have: Proven proficiency in working with Cisco switches, routers, firewalls, WLAN Controllers and WAPs Proven proficiency designing and implementing LAN/WAN/WLAN networks in a multi-site environment Proven proficiency working with Cisco CLI for IOS, ASA, IOS-XE and NX-0S Proven proficiency with network security best practices Experience designing and implementing network technologies to support organizational technology projects Experience in influencing and establishing collaboration direction within an organization Experience in enterprise environments involving network design and implementation Understanding of integrating an on premise environments with cloud environments North American job experienceTypical activities in this role include: Design, implement and administer the enterprise network environment including LAN, WAN and WLAN services. Helps prepare plans for development and installation of network devices according to present and future requirements and standards Provides expert technical support, administration, and engineering for enterprise network infrastructure devices Monitoring, performance tuning, troubleshooting and resolution of system problems to ensure system availability Manage and maintain network disaster recovery including planning, implementation, maintenance and testing Works with network patch management processes and procedures to facilitate deployment Maintains systems integrity through change control and problem management procedures and communication with internal customers Accomplishes department objectives by working with other team members; organizing and monitoring work process Follows Standard Operating Procedures when carrying out position responsibilitiesAttends and participates in team meetingsWorks with the Enterprise and Solution Architecture team, Enterprise Security and other business leads to establish scalable network solutions.Act as a representative of Information SystemsThe preference for start date is as soon as possible. The initial term for this role(s) will be up to one (1) year after which client will evaluate its on-going requirements and potentially extend the term for this resource in accordance with the terms and conditions of the proponent vendors Master Services Agreement.The resource will be required on site at Clients Head Office in Regina, Monday to Friday 8 am to 5 pm and the proposed hourly rate shall be inclusive of all travel and living costs (PST and GST are extra). Occasional travel to support offices across the province will be required. Submitted resources MUST have a valid Class 5 Saskatchewan Driver’s License or equivalent to be considered.
