Position Summary TheSenior Marketing Manageris responsible for developing and executing the Corporate tactical marketing plan to champion the Farrow brand externally in the market and internally with employees, driving those activities for the betterment of both the Farrow businesses and support function teams. Key Responsibilities Manages the day-to-day tactical marketing plan and communication calendar, as the lead on all major initiatives and projects Ensures the Farrow brand is consistently applied throughout the organization and identifies opportunities for improvement in our brand recognition and awareness, both internally and externally Responsible for all communications issued including creative marketing collateral and ads, press releases, case studies, white papers, digital content (email, web, social media), presentations, speaking proposals, and other campaign communications. Work with Content Creator and internal subject matter business unit experts to identify key industry topics/emerging trends to generate industry-related content (posts, articles, webinars, etc.) Lead the planning of industry tradeshows and conferences, including booth/participant registrations, booth design and activities, speaking engagements, swag and client events Conduct annual competitive review to understand the current industry landscape across each of the five Farrow business units Participates in annual strategic plans by contributing marketing opportunities/recommendations based on identification of customer/business requirements, competitor activity (strengths and weaknesses), forecasted industry activity or trends, etc. Manages Farrow volunteer program digital and print collateral (Community Cares) Meets annual budget by forecasting requirements to prepare an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances and initiating corrective actions Supervises and provides guidance to team members including:taking an active role in developing staff and fostering career growth by recognizing and facilitating opportunities for education and training conducting annual staff performance and salary reviews coaching for both performance and career developmentOther duties as assigned Education and Experience Post-secondary diploma/degree in Marketing, Communications or Business At least 10 years of progressive experience in Marketing and/or Communications At least 5 years of direct people management, including managing work assignments, attendance, staff development, performance management, etc. Strong Microsoft Office skills, in particular Word and PowerPoint Knowledge of customs brokerage and logistics industry an asset but not mandatory Marketing fluency with solid understanding of B2B marketing and digital marketing best practices Strong project management skills with ability to time manage multiple simultaneous concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment Excellent attention to detail Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to simplify complex measures and regulatory topics into easy-to-understand language Solid creative marketing experience with ability to judge creative output based on messaging objective and audience, and recommend revisions to achieve such objective Working knowledge of website analytics tools with ability to perform activity analysis and make strategic recommendations Stays up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in marketing media, tools, and respective measurements Strong interpersonal skills, tactful and dependable with ability to work independently and as part of a team Proven ability to establish and maintain relationships and work confidently and effectively with individuals from all levels of the organization Working Conditions, Mental Effort & Physical Requirements Ability to sit for extended periods of time Ability to focus on computer screen for extended periods of time Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals Must work under deadline and related stresses in a timely and efficient manner Must be able to professionally handle various personnel situations as they arise Although travel is minimal (Must have a valid passport.
