We Are Looking For:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Manufacturing Manager to help lead our dedicated team in Puslinch, ON. Working out of our 87,000 sq. ft. facility, this position will help support a team of approximately 100 hourly staff. The successful candidate will work closely with the Executive team to manage the day-to-day operation of our Manufacturing department.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage Supervisors and oversee the Manufacturing department in a metal fabrication /welding environment to ensure efficiency, quality and safety standards
  • Oversee and review production costs, labour utilization and production output to identify opportunities to drive continuous improvement. Present proposals to Senior Management team
  • Maximize productivity of staff by communicating targets, accountabilities and expectations
  • Conduct reports regarding production output and efficiency and address any discrepancies or concerns
  • Work cooperatively and diligently with other departments as required
  • Ensure compliance with all legislative and regulatory requirements
  • Other related duties as required

Qualifications:

  • Experience in a Manager or Supervisor role within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong conceptual, analytical, problem solving and decision making skills
  • Demonstrated skills in planning, documentation and time management
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

Desired Credentials:

  • Hands-on experience with steel welding (MIG) and fitting considered a strong asset
  • Demonstrated understanding of welding and fitting with the ability to review current work methods, fixtures and tooling to identify areas of improvement
  • Working experience or knowledge of mechanical assembly, specifically with steel
