Develop and maintain a deep understanding of regulatory requirements relevant to the technology department, including federal regulations, customer data protection, and cybersecurity. Collaborate with technology teams to ensure that new and existing products and services comply with regulatory requirements, including conducting impact assessments and providing compliance guidance on new releases. Get involved in the project definition phase to define the compliance-related requirements, testing strategy and evidence. Act as a subject matter expert on compliance-related matters, providing advice and training to technology teams as needed. Monitor regulatory developments and assess their potential impact on our technology operations, providing proactive recommendations to ensure compliance. Lead or participate in compliance audits and assessments, working closely with internal and external auditors to address any findings. Work with cross-functional teams to identify and implement solutions to maintain compliance with regulatory requirements. Stay informed about industry best practices and trends related to technology compliance and customer experience, and apply this knowledge to enhance our practices. Bachelor's degree in a related field is required; advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CIPP, CISSP) preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience in compliance, regulatory compliance, or a related field, preferably within the financial services industry. Strong understanding of relevant regulations and standards, such as GDPR, CCPA, PCI DSS, SOC2 etc., as well as experience implementing compliance programs. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex compliance requirements to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and provide actionable recommendations. Experience working in a regulated environment and familiarity with regulatory expectations related to technology operations.
