Position Summary

As the Senior Manager, Strategic Procurement, you will play a critical role in leading our procurement function and developing strategic sourcing initiatives. You will be responsible for managing a team of commodity professionals, overseeing the procurement process for key categories of goods and services, and identifying and implementing cost-saving opportunities, quality improvements and lead time reductions. This position requires a strong understanding of procurement best practices, negotiation skills, and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans for assigned categories of goods and services.
  • Lead the development and execution of RFPs, RFQs, and other commercial documents.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers to ensure best value and optimal terms.
  • Oversee the procurement process from requisition to contract management and payment.
  • Lead a team of procurement professionals, providing coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
  • Analyze commodity spend data and identify cost-saving opportunities. Employ “should cost” and product cost modeling.
  • Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to track procurement performance.
  • Leader on industry trends and best practices in procurement.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders (e.g., engineering, operations, finance) and external suppliers.
  • Manage procurement budget and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Implement procedures to verify supplier certifications and/or adherence to relevant regulations.
  • Analyze potential risks throughout the supply chain, including performance, compliance, business practices, geography, etc. Define appropriate mitigation plans.
  • Work with NPI Teams and contract manufacturers to obtain the lowest possible FG buy price

Education

Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • Minimum 7-10 years of experience in a procurement role, with a proven track record of success in strategic sourcing.
  • Strong understanding of procurement best practices, including sourcing strategies, contract negotiation, and risk management.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage and lead a team.
  • Experience with procurement software and data analysis tools is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be a highly motivated and results-oriented individual.
