About the Role We are looking for a Senior Manager, Merchandising Planning & Analysis to join our Merchandising team. The Senior Manager, Merchandising Planning & Analysis will support our corporate objective of building best in class wholesale capabilities by leading the pricing, reporting, forecasting and analytical decision-support functions for the Merchandising team. This key role will provide support for Merchandising leaderships’ strategic planning by providing insights and business/market intelligence. This role will be accountable for the fixed markup pricing strategy, by providing regular analysis and the routine administration of price changes. The Senior Manager, Merchandising Planning & Analysis will ensure that OCS has a range of products to meet our customer needs by providing monthly reporting, analysis, and recommendations of SKUs to transition between selling channels, distribution solutions, or to be dropped from the catalogue to make way for newer, more innovative product. In collaboration with Finance, this role will own the Merchandising inputs that support the annual budget, and monthly reforecast processes. By leading a team of analysts, the Manager, Merchandise Planning & Analysis will provide the Merchandising team with data-driven insights to support actions against strategic objectives. About Your Day Manage the weekly cadence of price change submissions ensuring accurate pricing and cost maintenance, compliance with pricing policies and audit obligations. Perform an annual review of markup rates, and minimum wholesale prices, to ensure current industry trends have been considered. Understand pricing trends in other jurisdictions, as well as other legal and legacy points of interest. Be able to clearly and concisely articulate revenue management/pricing insights in a way that is digestible to a non-technical audience. Be curious, continually seek efficiencies in the process and provide analysis as required Act as the Merchandising SME for Power BI and data needs. Own and develop Merchandising reporting, ensuring a high degree of quality, timeliness, and accuracy in reporting as well as providing key business insights. Transition legacy manual reports; effectively utilizing the Power BI platform. Develop and publish a weekly Merchandising performance dashboard. Create ad hoc reporting as required. Provide insightful analysis and impactful and actionable insights that drive decision-making. Support the Product Call process by providing LP execution and performance scores. In collaboration with the Category Managers, support the monthly PLM process by recommending SKUs to transition between fulfillment types, selling channels, or exit the assortment. Support Merchandising leadership in business intelligence and strategy development & implementation. Consider all relevant factors and data and rely on analysis and judgment for appropriate decision support analysis. Manage Merchandising inputs for the monthly forecast process as well as preparation of the annual budget, for Average Unit Revenue, Mix and Product Margin. Collaborate with the Financial Planning & Analysis Team on weekly/monthly variance commentary and analysis. Manage the monthly SKU count forecast process, including PLM, Fulfillment types and PC onboarding. Maintain a high level of forecast accuracy, identifying risks and opportunities as they arise. Provide strategic insights and recommendations to the leadership team based on financial analysis, modelling, and forecasting Build and lead a high performing team, providing guidance, mentorship and establishing clear areas of accountability for 2 direct reports Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture, encouraging continuous growth, learning and development. Partner with HR to ensure the team can support the needs of the business and is aligned with the development of the OCS corporate culture. About You Bachelors degree in Finance, Commerce, Economics or Accounting MBA/CPA is an asset 7+ years in Merchandising Financial Planning or similar role Experience working in a regulated industry or within the retail/consumer goods/wholesale sectors. Advanced Microsoft Office/Excel knowledge Experience with Microsoft Power BI (or similar tools) is preferred About the Job This position currently offers a hybrid work schedule. The current in office requirement is a minimum of 3 days/week (may be more depending on business needs). The OCS office is located near York Mills and Yonge Street. However, OCS reserves the right to change this policy and its office location at any time. City: Toronto, ON Employment Type: Permanent Full-Time Required Travel: Often, usually within the GTA (Rarely within Ontario) Compensation The target hiring range for this position is $120,000 - $140,000. This is a pay grade 8 role, with a salary range of $93,757.39 - $ 145,670.28. Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as market conditions, internal equity, and candidate experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.
