Senior Manager – FP&A will be a finance business partner and key member for his/her assigned group. The senior manager will be responsible for the creation and maintenance of annual budgets, monthly forecasts, preparation and analysis of monthly financial results and provide input to and financial support for business initiatives. As the finance liaison to an operating department, the Senior Manager must have strong business acumen, exceptional analytical skills, broad-based business experience and a capacity to develop and maintain relationships.

Responsibilities:

  • 10%: Preparation of the annual budget for assigned groups - planning, coordinating, data analysis, identifying risks and opportunities and preparing robust financial models. Active engagement with and close partnering with the operational team will be required.
  • 30%: Provide monthly analysis to the finance and operational leadership teams, detailing variances from plan, forecast and historical results, changes in the business, and key financial metrics. Continually monitor and update monthly forecasts and estimates. Prepare presentations and analysis for the leadership teams.
  • 20%: Maintain constant communication with business owners to ensure that all expenses are accounted for when they are incurred and are aligned with actual/forecast revenues and ensure that all business decisions are within budget guidelines.
  • 30%: Financial modelling to support strategic initiatives/business cases, including analyses of key business drivers.
  • 10%: Other analytics/financial support as required

What do you need to be a Senior Manager – Financial Planning and Analysis at Yellow Pages?

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting or a business-related disciple
  • Accounting/Financial title (CA, CMA, CGA) an asset

Experience:

  • 8 - 10 years of diversified business experience in a financial environment, preferably with a focus on analytics
  • Consulting experience an asset
  • Managerial experience an asset

Other:

  • Advanced Excel modeling skills
  • Bilingual (English/French) - this position involves daily interactions with clients or internal and/or external professionnals at the National level. Therefore, bilingualism in French and English is required.

  • Proven analytical capabilities, strategic thinking and business acumen
  • Advanced knowledge of financial management concepts
  • Strong experience in financial analysis, financial modeling and business case preparation
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and ability to articulate analytical results
  • Autonomous with a sense of accountability
  • Demonstrated ability to juggle concurrent projects and demonstrate flexibility within a fast-paced and frequently changing environment
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-function team environment
  • Ability to negotiate, communicate and influence at all levels of the organization
  • Project management experience an asset

Pay: $55,035.08-$100,321.01 per year
