About the team you are joining Reporting to IATA's Head forAviation Security,this position will be primarily responsible for activelyengaging aviation security stakeholders to lead and assess the impact ofpolicies and programs that aim to reduce the security-related risks associatedwith the civil aviation ecosystem. Providing security policy and programsdirection to ensure risk-based, sustainable, and efficient implementation ofthe global baseline security systems and measures for passenger and air cargo operations.Collaborate on cross-cutting topics associated with other security risks to theindustry. What your day would be like Develop, coordinate, and formulate industry-led civil aviation security policyand programs oversight to ensure international and domestic impact andinfluence required to comprehensively address air transport security issues, evolutions,and challenges. Manage and deliveryanalysis as to the effectiveness of IATA policy and programs, and adjust, asneeded, to meet emerging and anticipated future priorities. Ensuring arisk-based policy is maintained to establish and develop security internationalregulations, policies, and directives to reduce measurable and acceptable securityrisks to industry. Manage the promotion andadvocacy of air transport security regulations, standards and recommendedpractices; develop policies, supporting regulations and guidance material thatfacilitate innovative implementation; and maintain awareness and/or knowledgeof the most current, impacting and proposed innovation in the area civilaviation security. Provide expert security guidance to industry and governmentstakeholders on security policy issues at industry-sponsored conferences andmeetings. Facilitate and maintain anetwork of partners for purposes of ensuring that there is current andconsistent information and advocacy regarding IATA policies and activities andtheir impact on domestic and international air transport security operations. Ensurethat regular, recurring, and current aviation-related security information andactivities are shared within the IATA members, including regulators, and otherindustry stakeholders. Build strong relationshipsbetween States authorities, airports, and airlines to enhance data-sharing andinformation-sharing efforts, practices and uses. Provide leadership andmanagement of analysis (written and oral) to different audiences. Support the IATA SecurityConsultancy service line as and when required. We would love to hear from you if Documented working/operationalknowledge of civil aviation regulatory and operational frameworks, airlineand/or airport security operations; Strong written and verbalcommunication skills and ability to present publicly; Demonstrated skills to perform ina high-pressure, multicultural, and international environment; Successful completion of IATA orICAO Aviation Security Courses, IATA SeMS Course, IATA or ICAO Security Audit,Inspection and/or Quality Control Courses. Successful completion (90% ormore) at the IATA SeMS Quiz and/or SeMSCompetency Test; Successful completion of the ICAOAviation Professional Manager Course (AVSEC PMC), the ICAO Master of Science (MSc)in Aviation Security, or any other nationally/regionally/internationallyrecognized training and certification aviation courses; Must have excellent writing, Excel, Word,PowerPoint, and MS Teams skills.
