Job Description

PAL Aerospace has partnered with Airbus Defence & Space for the Government of Canada’s Fixed Wing Search and Rescue aircraft replacement (FWSAR) program. PAL Aerospace is responsible for In FWSAR Service Support (ISS) ranging from working alongside DND at 1st line to performing at Depot level the maintenance not undertaken by Royal Canadian Air Force Squadrons. PAL’s Depot level work also includes the embodiment of aircraft modifications and the conduct of Special Inspections. PAL Aerospace is currently looking for a Senior Maintenance Manager to join FWSAR in Winnipeg, MB.Duties & Responsibilities:Plan and oversee all maintenance operations and projects within the FWSAR Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) facility and lead the MRO TeamEnsure the on-time and on-budget delivery of CC-295 heavy maintenance checks and other maintenance projects as assigned to the MRO TeamEnsure the highest standard and conduct of maintenance activities; ensure compliance with standards for maintenance, safety and qualityAct as the principle point of contact between the FWSAR ISS program with the DND Air Regulator (DTAES) to lead, sustain and routinely audit the PAL’s Approved Maintenance Organization (AMO)Achieve and sustain SMM authorizationServe as the SMM for the entire FWSAR ISS program and coordinate all airworthiness tasks and assignments of authority at all FWSAR MoBs and the MRO facilitySupport the recruitment, staffing and hiring of FWSAR ISS personnelWork collaboratively with AMO 2-13 to maximize the efficiency and effectiveness of both the FWSAR and Civil MRO operationsLiaise with relevant agencies including Airbus DS, AirPro, the RCAF, PMO FWSAR, DTAES, and Transport CanadaOther duties as requiredQualifications & Skills:Required:Aviation Technical TrainingAble to use MS Office technology and applicationsAble to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyExcellent planning, organization, and communication skillsAble to travel within Canada (Comox, BC to St. John’s, NL) and EuropeAble to work in a dynamic, fast-paced team environment and meet strict deadlinesPreferred:5-years experience as AME S/M/E on aircraft1-year experience as Crew ChiefTransport Canada AME License S/M/ETransport Canada Endorsed course on company aircraft typeFamiliar with company aircraft maintenance/engineering manuals or online documentationWhat We Offer:Great work/life balance;Comprehensive health benefits including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance ;Defined Contribution Pension Plan;Employee Stock Purchase Plan;Employee and Family Assistance Program;Personal travel privileges; andOpportunities for growth.
