We are currently partnering with a world-renowned Global Investment firm that is continuing their exciting legal build-out and seeking to add a Private Funds Counsel. This individual will support the Private Equity & Hedge Fund business on a variety of legal matters including fund formation, capital raising, investor relations, and regulatory matters. You will have the chance to work closely with senior leadership as well as have visibility across the organization on the fund formation process in Canada. Assist the SVP with all legal matters pertaining to the fund formation process Draft and review private fund offering materials, partnership agreements, and other private fund legal documentation. Advise the legal team on new and existing products JD from a top tier law school ~5+ years of experience within private practice or in-house environment ~ Experience with Fund Formation and Investment Management matters including working with Private Equity & Hedge Funds ~ Experienced with Canadian securities laws, and investment fund regulatory matters If you are interested in the Private Funds Counsel position, feel free to reach out with an updated copy of your resume.
