Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Senior Infotainment Software Engineer to join the multimedia team at a top automotive client. This resource will be divided among both current and future state projects and have the ability to own a subdomain within video and/or multimedia frameworks in Android. You will play a crucial role in media playback development with streaming platforms, USB, and MP3's building and enhancing seamless and efficient code. Mentorship of 2-3 junior developers on the team will also be required.

10+ years of experience in software development with Java/Kotlin/C++ (Java/Kotlin main focus but C++ still required)
Minimum of 3+ years in Android development
Strong understanding/functional experience of AOSP (API's, AIDL's)
Mentorship or team lead experience required
USB or multimedia experience (related radio applications, Sirius, Pandora a plus)
Experience with unit testing
Familiarity with QNX, Linux or other UNIX-like operating systems

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Flexibility/ability to work in diverse programming languages
Android Automotive
High level design experience
Roboelectric or Mockito for unit testing
Advanced debugging with GDB (Gnu DeBugger)
