This is a full-time, permanent role in Calgary, AB (Hybrid)OverviewJotson is an energy-tech company that empowers households to manage their energy consumption, costs, and carbon footprint.Established in early 2023, Jotson is an early-stage startup, and we are seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer to join our core team and help us build Jotson’s products. This is a unique role for an experienced, talented, and driven individual that will enjoy the energy of an early-stage startup. What you’ll doYou will be part of a small team of senior developers that are responsible to collaboratively:design and develop mobile and web-based front-end productsoperate and configure multiple Backend-as-a-Service environmentsdevelop server-side code and APIsintegrate with 3rd party APIscreate data schemas and manage database(s)establish and execute testing and QA practicesmanage, run, and automate release processesmaintain and implement developer workflows and best practicesliaise with UI/UX product designer, and integrate them into the process collaborate with product owner and participate in product planning activitiesprovide customer and technical support What you bringYou are an experienced software developer with 10+ years’ experience in building mobile and web-based applications and have the technical and organizational battle scars to prove it. You’re excited at the chance of joining a small team of highly experienced developers, and you see opportunity in the ambiguity and constant change that comes with our startup stage.   You’ve gone through numerous product development cycles in varying roles, and you’ve shown leadership on the teams you’ve been a part of. You understand the importance of user-centric products, strong software engineering practices, and can balance moving fast with managing technical debt.Coding is something you enjoy, and you supplement it with software and data architecture work while supporting product strategies. You are proficient in Test-Driven Development (TDD), and you prioritize clean, readable, well-tested code.  You’re committed to quality and ensure that all deliverables meet the highest standards, actively incorporating automated testing and continuous integration to improve code quality and system resilience. Join Our TeamCome join our team and help us build out from our current MVP to deliver user-centric products that bring simplicity to a complex topic and build out the technology that handles these complexities in real-time.
