Reporting to the Manager AEH Engineering, the Senior FPGA Designer/Verificator has responsibilities in development for avionics products for safety critical and/or military applications. As a key development, team member the successful candidate will be an important contributor involved in the definition, implementation, tests and delivery to production of firmware designs.Designs will utilize state of the art technologies whilefollowingstandardprocesses todevelopsolutions thatarecompetitive onan excellent basis and deliver superior performance, quality and capability at aggressive cost targets.
As a SeniorHEHDesigner/Verificatior your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- DO-254 Airborne Electronic Hardware (AEH) development and certification process related to functionalallocation,design,simulation,synthesis,place&route,testplanning,verificationand introduction to production.
- Designofstate-of-the-artdigitalhardwareutilizingtechnologiesincludingprocessorandDSP interfaces, video signal processing, I/O blocks and standard logic.
- Supportthearchitecture,designanddevelopmentofPCBsforprototypeandimplementationof complex digital systems in FPGA or ASIC.
- ProvideprojectoversiteandtrackingofAEHactivitiesforateam ofdevelopersandverifiers, including task assignments, deliverable planning, as well as budget and risk management.
- Serveasaprimaryinterfacewithotherdesigngroups toensurealignmentacrossdesignand schedule milestones.
- UtilizeCMCdevelopmentprocessandparticipateindesignreviewsforkeycharacteristicsof performance as well as safety/reliability, test and manufacturability.
- Analyzefunctionalrequirementsforsystemsand/orsub-systemsandparticipateinthedefinition of FPGA functional and performance requirements;
- Developsimulationverificationtestbenches,verificationcomponentsandbus-functionalmodels in SystemVerilog, using standardized verification methodologies such as UVM;
- Providesdocumentationforrequirements,designdescriptions,testsandproduction support.
- Supportmanagement,manufacturingandotherengineeringdisciplinesinvariousplanningor problem solving tasks.

- KnowledgeofAvionicsproducts(Displaysystems,SensorsystemsorGlobalNavigationSatellite Systems (GNSS) as a few examples);
- ExperiencewithXilinx’sFPGA(7Series,Ultrascale)anddesigntool (Vivado);
- Testautomationexperiencewithscriptinglanguagessimilarto Python;
- KnowledgeofMathworks products.
- KnowledgeofcivilandmilitaryaviationstandardssuchasprocessdevelopmentstandardDO-254 and qualification standards DO-160 and MIL-STD-810/461.
