Job title: Senior Financial Analyst

Job description: As the Senior Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting with management of all financial activities related to the business operations. These activities include financial reporting, forecasting, cost accounting, approvals of purchase requisitions, capital expenditures and supplier payments. Within this role, you will be expected to drive the business forward, streamline the operation and engage in continuous improvement of these processes. This is a long term contract located in Markham, OntarioReporting
- Responsible for monthly, quarterly and yearly financial reporting
- Variance analysis of financial statements.
- Monthly comparative analysis by cost center.
- Review and approve account reconciliations and roll-forward analysis.
- Prepare monthly financial presentation to management team.
- Participation in forecasting reviews with management, sales and purchasing group.
- Coordinate Capex and overhead forecast with management.
- Approve purchase requisitions;
- Approve fixed asset disposals/write-offs;
- Review and approve supplier payments;
- Review and approve journal entries, accruals and reconciliations;
- Management of fixed asset physical inventory;
Qualifications:Ideal candidates must be highly motivated with exceptional interpersonal skills, strongcomputer and analytical skills. The successful candidate must be able to handle high pressuresituations and prioritize tasks effectively with great attention to detail.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent, MBA and/or a CPA is a plus.
- 10 plus years’ experience in an operational finance role is required;
- 5 plus years of management experience necessary;
- Knowledge of US GAAP reporting requirements is necessary;
- Prior experience with SOX compliance would be a plus;
- Proficiency with Excel required;
- Knowledge of MS Outlook, Other MS Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Access),
and Ceridian would be a plus;
- Experience with Enterprise One and Hyperion or comparable business systems would
be desirable;
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross functionally is key to
