Senior Financial Analyst

POSITION SUMMARY:

As the Senior Financial Analyst, you will support the Internal Accounting Manager and Internal Accounting Director of Financial Reporting in the regular monthly financial close process. This position will include significant work on financial analysis, communications, presentations, and reporting. 

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Assist with monthly financial close process.
  • Develop and implement accounting policy manuals.
  • Consolidate financial statements.
  • Prepare public financial statements including note disclosures.
  • Develop relationships with other Business Units, provide accounting advice.
  • Prepare reconciliations of assigned account and related reports.
  • Analyze data and work with data owners to maximize shareholder returns.
  • Support leadership in budget reviews through the year and identify cost savings opportunities.
  • Assist in regular internal and external audits.
  • To provide support in various financial reporting initiatives, as required. 

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

  • CPA
  • Three to five years of accounting and/or auditing experience with a focus on financial analysis.
  • Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards and related principles.
  • Experience in Oracle Enterprise Performance Management or other consolidation tool will be considered an asset.
  • Ability to converse in a professional manner in both written and verbal communication.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and possess initiative to seek improvements.
  • Motivated self-starter with capabilities to work within a fast-paced team-oriented environment.

Travel > 5%.
