We are currently recruiting for a Financial Analyst. Our team includes world class experts and dynamic go-getters. This is a full-time position based in Pickering, ON.
Purpose:
Reporting to the Technology Solutions Business Partner, the Financial Analyst manages and coordinates the Planning and Performance for the Technology Solutions region to enable delivery of timely and accurate reporting which will assist with decision making. They support locations with the necessary analytics and backup required as well as the implementation of value-add analysis tools. In addition, the Financial Analyst is responsible for continuous improvement on FP&A activities & processes. Ideally the candidate will be located in Ontario, Canada or similar regions and able to work remotely and occasionally from our Pickering, ON office.

Responsibilities:

  • Advise and support key stakeholders in relation to FP&A matters.
  • Advise and support system and process matter that may impact FP&A activities and the ability to report timely and accurately.

Reporting

  • Assist to develop and implement effective reporting and analysis to improve understanding of actual and forecast performance, to drive future financial performance.
  • Assist Technology Solutions Finance Business Partner with rollout and implementation of consistent and unified reporting.
  • Co-ordinate budget, forecasting and monthly processes and ensure integrity of data entered Hyperion for locations.
  • Identify effective overhead and working capital reporting/ analysis to drive productivity.
  • Measure key KPIs and performance drivers of business and locations.
  • Coordinate, review and distribute flash reporting, Location Reporting Packs and Regional analysis to relevant stakeholders.
  • Work collaboratively in preparing and presenting of periodic reporting packages including analysis of key business trends and actual versus plan variances.
  • Present results of analytic tools, including financial analysis and operational data analysis, to business teams within the business region.

Governance

  • Maintain high quality of presentation, clarification, and accuracy with all information disseminated.
  • Maintain an effective internal control framework to highlight and manage risk by providing an independent assessment of the health of the business.
  • Ensure the necessary review and pressure testing of presented information for budgets, forecast and monthly information is conducted before issuing to the necessary stakeholders.

Supporting

  • Provide the analysis reports to key stakeholders, including Finance Business Partner as needed.
  • Liaise with Finance Business Partner and global FP&A network in the budgeting, forecasting and monthly reporting process.
  • Support the underlying businesses as needed with analytics & reporting.
  • Invest time to improve systems & FP&A activities to focus on automating activities and process where possible.
  • Identify improvement and productivity in FP&A processes, improving quality whilst reducing cycle time.

What you will bring

Technical/Industry Experience and Qualifications Requirements:

  • Extensive senior-level experience in Finance with the ability to deliver improved analytics to support management decisions.
  • Intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Strong commercial acumen and technical experience in the relevant discipline and similar industry.
  • Strong and effective communicator with well-developed analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to interpret and effectively communicate business and technical requirements to a broad audience of stakeholders in various levels of the organization.
  • Ability to flex between strong eye for detail and recognizing the bigger picture leveraging business acumen and pragmatism.
  • Ability to set priorities, develop procedures, work practices and effectively manage change.

Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:

Required:

  • Degree in Accounting or related field.
  • CPA designation is an asset.
