Job Description

We are currently looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join our Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team. This position reports to the Senior Manager, Corporate FP&A.

This role is available to candidates in Calgary,Vancouver , or Toronto

As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in driving insights and supporting strategic decision-making through in-depth analyses, workforce forecasting, ad-hoc financial modeling, and strong stakeholder partnerships. This position requires an understanding of SaaS business models, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

What your team does:

Our Financial Planning & Analysis team is focused on driving stakeholder and shareholder value by developing the operating and financial plans required to achieve our company goals. You will help our business grow, help our customers succeed, and continuously improve the way we operate.

What you’ll work on:

Data Gathering and Forecast Preparation: Collect data from various sources to prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasts. Provide key analytics, analyses, and summaries as required, with a focus on workforce-related financial planning.

Data Analysis and Business Partnership: Deeply analyze data and work closely with business partners to identify opportunities for optimization and growth.

Insights and Decision-Making Support: Provide insights and decision-making support for business partners and the leadership team. Examples of analyses include ROI, efficiency, and scenario analysis, with a focus on financial impacts.

Financial Modeling and Variance Analysis: Develop and update financial models with actuals, conduct variance analysis, find and communicate insights, and forecast future performance.

KPI Monitoring and Development: Monitor and develop KPIs, identify trends, and proactively work with operational leaders on opportunities to grow the business.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate cross-functionally on strategic initiatives, including financial modeling and presentations of findings and strategic insights to stakeholders, including the executive leadership team.

Data Cleanliness and Reporting: Ensure strong data cleanliness and source of truth reporting.

Accurate Financial Information: Work closely with other teams to ensure all financial information is accurate.

What you may have:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (finance, accounting);

CPA or CFA designation is preferred;

Have 3+ years of Financial Planning or Business Analyst experience;

Strong understanding of SaaS business metrics and key performance indicators is a big asset;

Be passionate about effective and intuitive data visualization;

Be deeply data-driven, analytical, and curious;

Be self-motivated, independent, and deadline-oriented;

Be passionate about building data-driven organizations and having an impact on the business;

Clear, concise, articulate, and professional verbal and written reasoning and storytelling skills to communicate effectively to audiences at all levels of the organization.

Have worked in SaaS in previous roles

The expected salary range* for this role is $90,700 to $122,900 CAD. Please note there are a separate set of salary bands for other regions based on local currency.

*Our salary bands are designed to reflect the range of skills and experience needed for the position and to allow room for growth at Clio. For experienced individuals, we typically hire at or around the midpoint of the band. The top portion of the salary band is reserved for employees who demonstrate sustained high performance and impact at Clio. Those who are new to the role may join below the midpoint and develop their skills over time. The final offer amount for this role will be dependent on geographical region, applicable experience, and skillset of the candidate.
