Summary of Job

This is a senior financial analyst position responsible for monthly, quarterly and yearly close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, analysis, financial statement notes and audit/ tax schedules.

Key Areas of Responsibility

Month End Close

Prepare month end journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations (focus on higher risk areas). Provide month end analysis, such as budget to actuals, month over month, and other analysis as required.

Tax & Audit

Coordinating the quarterly and year end close process with the external auditors and tax accountants.Preparing supporting schedules and working papers to meet audit requirements. Consult and liaise with other departments and team members on tax and audit requests.Responsible for coordinating and compiling necessary information for the annual corporate tax return.

Financial Statements and Reports

Assistance with quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements and note disclosures in compliance with US GAAP. Prepare financial metrics and other information for reporting to Board/Investors/Lenders. Drives enhancements in financial reporting and analysis as well as system requirements.

Job Requirements

Education, Experience and Technical skill

· Minimum 5 years of experience in Finance & Accounting

· Experience with ERP systems (R), Great Plains (A)

· Strong proficiency in Excel (R)

· Accounting designation or near completion (CPA) (R)

· Post-secondary education; university degree or college diploma in accounting (R)

Required Soft Skills and Competencies

· Deadline and timeline driven

· Excellent verbal & written communication skills

· Ability to manage information with a high level of detail and accuracy

· Quick learner and ability to take ownership of key tasks

· Ability to be a strong internal business partner with a collaborative business focus
