Reporting to the Controller, the Senior Financial Analyst will leverage accounting and communication skills to provide critical financial information and perform related accounts administration. This role requires a proactive problem-solver with a strong presence who is detail-oriented and able to meet strict deadlines.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and post journal entries, complete balance sheet reconciliations, and resolve general ledger discrepancies.
- Analyze accounts for accuracy and assist in monthly reviews with Head Office.
- Prepare weekly reports including Revenue Tracker, Sales and Order Book, and Bank reconciliations.
- Manage costing and manufacturing postings, update WIP schedule weekly.
- Work with sales, operations, and project management on project closures, inventory adjustments, and reporting.
- Assist Controller with customer and project margin analysis.
- Provide ongoing ERP support.
- Assist with coding questions, Concur batch posting, and contract hours backup.
- Initiate wire transfers, complete bank activities, and manage foreign exchange contracts.
- Provide analysis to various business areas and assist with Year-end Inventory count.
- Fulfill requests from Head Office and external auditors.
- Help maintain a strong environment of internal controls.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or any related, CPA designation or nearing completion.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in an accounting role.
- Proficient in ERP systems and Excel.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Detail-oriented, able to work under strict deadlines.
- Team player with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
