The Senior Business Analyst position reports to the Business Controller Agricultural Solutions in Canada and has close interaction and ongoing dialogue with marketing, sales and related functions in the Agricultural Solutions business in Canada and North America as well as the local BASF organization. The collaboration will be on the forecasting, budgeting and reporting processes as well as financial analyses and key initiatives, complemented by decision support to the Business Controller and securing that internal processes will meet all compliance requirements. Forecast, budget, analyze and report the market cost at the Divisional (OD) country level to the Business Controller. Serve as primary contact to the organization and manage the correct allocation of cost to the respective cost centers. Champion continuous improvement and simplification of existing processes Through the lens of financial and accounting experience, recommend improvements that meet all compliance requirements, as well as clarity and transparency on the business development. Prepare monthly reports using data from key business systems while driving digitalization initiatives and reviewing data for potential errors and seeks resolution to maintain long-term data integrity. Understanding and analyzing trends, changes, developments, and its impact on the KPIs from local legal entity and globally consolidated market view perspective with the need to bridge both views on the financial development, considering the information needs of all stakeholders. Strengthen the capabilities in the combined crop protection, seed and seed treatment business and train all members of the organization to identify and realize their contribution to the defined KPIs. Bachelor’s degree with 10 years of experience in finance and business analysts related roles. MBA or CPA preferred. Minimum 10 years’ experience with marketing analysis and sales data analysis Minimum 10 years’ experience with relational data warehouse reporting High level proficiency in SAP, Excel, PowerPoint and Word Motivated, positive, self-starter who works very efficiently and independently with minimal direction or guidance on routine matters. Detailed oriented and pushes organization to find root cause of issues to recommend solutions to improve business performance. Able to process and analyze multiple data sources and provide recommendations on the findings. Strong communication, business acumen, analytical thinking and financial skills.
