Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (35 hours per week)

Job Reports To: Associate Director of Finance.

Reporting to the Associate Director of Finance and operationally to the General Manager, Food and Beverage the Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for:
• Financial planning and analysis, accounting, budgeting, administration and business planning for the Food and Beverage (F&B) department;
• Researching, analyzing and preparing multi-year financial plans; financial reporting and performance measurement; analyzing trends; mentoring managers in financial management practices and supervising administrative processes in the F&B department;
• Uploading F&B department budgets and forecasts to the finance system;
• Assisting in the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements and cash flow to internal departments / CEO / Board of Trustees for National Arts Centre Corporation;
• Working directly with Associate Director – Finance to complete annual budget and quarterly forecasts with operational guidance from the General Manager, F&B;
• Working on design and documentation of finance processes and procedures for the Finance operation of F&B and the Finance department as a whole;
• Reviewing and providing input to formal and informal internal control processes, internal audit plans, risk assessment and documentation for the F&B and the finance department as a whole;
• Providing support for major capital projects, monitoring commitments and expenses compared to budget, preparing invoices and purchase order for F&B and finance department as a whole; and
• The incumbent must also work closely with the General Manager of the F&B department on all matters related to financial reporting, budgeting and planning

Skill Requirements

• University degree in Accounting, Finance and/or Commerce;
• A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in financial analysis and budgeting at the corporate level;
• Completed or in the processed of completing a professional accounting designation is an asset;
• Advanced analytical skills and keen attention to details;
• Advanced spreadsheet and word processing skills;
• Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills;
• Mandatory experience in full cycle accounting;
• Results-oriented and able to multi-task efficiently;
• Strong organizational and time-management skills;
• Strong financial accounting systems knowledge;
• Team player and able to report and communication with all levels of the organization;
• Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities and deadlines; and
• Bilingualism in English and French (verbal and written) is an asset.
