Our Ottawa based client is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to help guide reporting, audit and budgeting process within their Food and Beverage division. This is a contract opportunity for 6 months but highly likely to extend or go permanent.

Hybrid work environment – 3 days in their Ottawa office and 2 days working from home.

Our Ottawa based client is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to help guide reporting, audit and budgeting process within their Food and Beverage division. This is a contract opportunity for 6 months but highly likely to extend or go permanent.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Assisting in the Preparation of Financial Statements:
- Collaborate in the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements
- Create cash flow reports to be shared with internal departments, the CEO, and the Board of Trustees
- Intercompany Transactions and Reconciliation:
- Prepare and manage monthly intercompany transactions between the Corporation and the Foundation
- Reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Work closely with various departments to assist in the development of the annual budget and quarterly forecasts
- Upload budget information to accounting system for tracking and analysis
- Finance Process and Procedure Documentation:
- Collaborate on the design and documentation of finance processes and procedures within the Finance department and across the entire corporation
- Internal Control Processes:
- Review and provide input on formal and informal internal control processes and documentation to enhance efficiency and compliance
The successful candidate will have the following:
- Finance experience in Food & Beverage within the hotel industry
- CPA designation or pursuing/completion in 2024 is required
- Bilingual, English and French is a very strong asset
- BSc degree in Finance or Accounting
- Ability to generate new ideas and experience working with senior level management
