Senior Financial Accountant

Department: Finance

Description

The Senior Financial Accountant is responsible for verifying, allocating, posting and reconciling Deferred Revenue and Expense, Payroll and Commission accounts, producing error-free accounting reports and presenting their results, and analyzing financial information and summarizing financial status.


Key Responsibilities

  • Maintaining and reconciling balance sheet and general ledger accounts.
  • Assisting with annual audit preparations.
  • Investigating and resolving audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of noncompliance.
  • Preparing federal, state, local, and special tax returns.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Requires a bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
  • CPA qualification would be preferential.
  • 5 to 7 years of related experience.
  • Proficient in spreadsheets, databases, MS Office and financial software applications
  • Proven knowledge of financial forecasting and diagnosis, corporate finance and information analysis.
  • Well informed in current financial subjects, accounting, tax laws, and business environments
  • Organized
  • Excellent reporting skills
  • Detail oriented and efficient
  • Ability to manage tight deadlines
  • Problem solving and decision making
  • Ability to work efficiently in a broad cultural spectrum
