Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Field Service Technician to join our team at Jannatec Technologies to help deliver the desired customer service experience. The goal is to drive service success that improves customer satisfaction, maximizes customer retention, and increases profitability.Main ResponsibilitiesThe primary function of this position is to program, install, test, troubleshoot and repair communications and safety equipment including:Two-way radio and wireless communication systems.Leaky feeder systems utilizing underground and surface coverage.Mobile proximity detection system on mining equipment.The Senior Field Service Technician will also be responsible for the following:In-house bench repairs.Assistance with product builds as required.Processing of Work Orders, Service reports and other administrative paperwork associated with day-to-day operations.Assist in design and configuration of product and applications based on specific site requirements.Other tasks assigned by management.Job details:Working out of the Jannatec Technologies Sudbury officeCompensation: $32.00 - $35.00 hourly for 40 hours per weekAvailable as soon as possibleDay shift (Monday to Friday)Some overtime may be requiredOn-call rotationAble to work underground at various mine sitesWilling and able to travel within Canada and internationallyJob RequirementsDesired applicants will have 5+ years of Service Technician experience in the 2-way radio wireless and/or communications field.Post secondary education in related field not required, but will be considered a strong asset.Ability to distinguish colours.Have a valid drivers license, and be able to provide a clean Drivers Abstract.SkillsExcellent customer service skills.Ability to work with hand tools.Ability to follow instructions.Strong attention to detail.Strong organizational skills.A good team player who can demonstrate a positive and self-motivated attitude.Must be willing to work in a fast-paced environment while ensuring attention to detail and quality.Experience an asset with networking software, hardware, communication software, MS Office, MS Outlook, radio communication equipment, telecommunication systems.The individual filling this role must be comfortable working independently and as part of a team.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: $32.00-$35.00 per hourExpected hours: 40 per weekBenefits:Dental careExtended health careLife insurancePaid time offRRSP matchVision careSchedule:8 hour shiftDay shiftMonday to FridayOn callOvertimeSupplemental pay types:Overtime payExperience:2-way radio wireless and/or communications: 5 years (required)Location:Greater Sudbury, ON P3A 4R7 (required)Work Location: In person
