If all this sounds appealing, we'd love to meet you!WHAT IS THE ROLE?Reporting to the VP of design, the fashion concept designer will be responsible for leading the creative direction for all seasonal fashion concepts of the brand, collaborating closely with the product design and merchandising teams. This role will ensure consistency in the brand's aesthetics while driving innovation and setting the seasonal direction for design, product, and merchandising. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for trends, possess strong trend forecasting abilities, and be passionate about creating captivating fashion storytelling capsules that resonate with our target audience.HOW WILL YOU DO IT?Trend Forecasting and Seasonal DirectionInforms and guides creative design, product, and merchandising development build and present macro trends. Provides concept direction and seasonal narratives for the product team, offering unique and compelling ideas that align with the brand's vision. Presents trend updates gathered from shopping, runways, influencers, and trend forecasting sources. Collection Concept and PresentationLeads the creation of seasonal concept rooms, mood imagery, key looks, fabrics, blocks, and big idea boards. Collaborates with merchandising and design teams throughout the product development process to ensure alignment with the seasonal direction. Color and Print DirectionDrives colour and prints direction, working closely with graphic designers to present seasonal colour palettes and artboards. Develops concepts that outline the delivery flow of colours, fabrics, techniques, prints, and silhouettes across all product categories. Brand Aesthetics and ConsistencyCreates standards and processes to ensure brand aesthetics consistency throughout different collections and products. Provides guidelines and directions to maintain the brand's visual identity and essence. Consumer Behavior AnalysisAnalyzes and predicts consumer behaviour by understanding generational and cultural shifts, translating these insights into impactful fashion concepts. Presentation and CollaborationLeads and presents the seasonal creative direction and big ideas for the product and creative teams, communicating the vision effectively. Collaborates with the product design, merchandising and marketing teams to support in creating key look directions for e-commerce campaigns. WHO YOU AREYour achievements:Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or a related field or commensurate experience. Senior Designer with 10 to 12 years of progressive experience. Minimum (5) years of experience as a Senior Designer or in a similar creative role within the fashion industry. 3 to 5 years of experience in concept design, an asset. Proven strong trend forecasting abilities and an up-to-date knowledge of fashion trends, materials, and techniques. Your contribution:Excellent communication and presentation skills to articulate creative concepts and ideas effectively. Ability to work collaboratively and build strong partnerships with cross-functional teams. A keen eye for detail and aesthetics, passionate about creating innovative and appealing fashion collections. Strong ability to do research and build all documentation and visuals for concept direction books.
