Senior Database Administrator - SQL Server On behalf of our client in the Banking Sector, PROCOM is looking for a Senior Database Administrator - SQL Server. Senior Database Administrator - SQL Server – Job Description Responsible for database setup and management, data cleansing and appending, query analysis, database modeling, segmentation and profiling Maintain database dictionaries and integrate systems through database design Write SQL queries to export/validate/analyze counterparty data Monitor changes in data to ensure data integrity Code logical and physical database descriptions and specify identifiers of database to management system Implement security measures to safeguard information in computer files against accidental or unauthorized damage, modification or disclosure Prepare and test change requests when required Verify/check/compare client counterparty data from the counterparty databases to internal reports and spreadsheets Produce internal and regulatory reports on a regular or ad hoc basis Senior Database Administrator - SQL Server – Mandatory Skills Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Computer Science Strong background in Banking/Financial services 10+ years working experience in an IT function at a large organization 10+ years of proven working experience in Microsoft SQL Server technology and current on SQL Server releases (i.e., SQL Server 2012, 2014, 2016, 2017, 2019) In-depth technical knowledge of database and transaction management technologies and operating systems Experienced with data manipulation languages, data definition languages, physical database design, and application performance analysis & tuning • Experience in providing L3/L4 support in troubleshooting SQL server performance related issues. Expert knowledge to analyze performance issue, identify tuning opportunities, implement improvements and advise developers on SQL Server Intermediate knowledge of support and maintaining SQL server Good understanding of gitHub, DevOps and deployment automation Strong documentation, written and verbal communication skills Proficient interpersonal skills to be able to interface effectively with a broad range of contacts; from technical staff to management Proficient organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple concurrent activities and to work successfully under pressure Senior Database Administrator - SQL Server - Assignment Start Date ASAP – 12 months to start Senior Database Administrator - SQL Server - Assignment Location Toronto, ON – Work Hybrid
