The resource will be required to work and be located on site at SaskEnergy Head Office in Regina, Monday to Friday 8 am to 5 pm CST and the proposed hourly rate shall be inclusive of all travel and living costs (PST and GST are extra).BackgroundSaskEnergy Networks & Infrastructure department is seeking a resource to join their Database team. The successful candidate will work within the existing team to help with the design, implementation and administration of the various components of the Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle Database Server, Oracle Access Manager, Oracle HTTP Server and Certificate Authority infrastructure. The resource will follow team standards based on current industry and security best practices for the configuration and implementations of server infrastructure.of RequirementsSaskEnergy is seeking a resource to design, implement and administer our Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle Database Server, Oracle Access Manager, Oracle HTTP Server, and Certificate Authority infrastructure utilizing industry and security best practices. The resource MUST have a minimum 10 years of recent and practical database administration experience and a minimum 5 years of recent and practical senior database administration experience. Experience that incorporates cloud services would be an asset.Ideally the resource will have:1. Proven competency in Microsoft on-premises SQL Server design, implementation, and administration2. Proven competency in Oracle Database Server design, implementation, and administration3. Proven competency in Oracle Access Manager and Oracle HTTP Server design, implementation, and administration4. Proven competency with database security best practices5. Proven competency with Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) administration6. Proven competency with certificate management7. Experience in influencing and establishing collaboration direction within an organization8. Understanding of enterprise level on-premises server and cloud architecture9. Understanding of integrations of an on-premises environment and the cloud10. North American job experienceTypical activities in this role include:1. Design, Implementation, documentation, administration and troubleshooting of the enterprise database environment.2. Helps prepare plans for development and installation of database and database servers according to present and future requirements.3. Provide expert technical design, implementation, and administration of the Microsoft SQL Server environment.4. Provide expert technical design, implementation, and administration of the Oracle Database Server, Oracle Access Manager and Oracle HTTP Server environments.5. Provide expert support, administration of the Certificate Authority infrastructure.6. Monitoring, performance tuning, troubleshooting and resolution of system problems to ensure system availability.7. Manage and maintain database disaster recovery including planning, implementation, maintenance, and testing.8. Manage and maintain the configuration, administration, upgrade, and maintenance of operational technology database and related infrastructure.9. Interacts with our user base (corporate and field employees) on an as needed basis regarding technology issues and escalations.10. Works with database and application patch management processes and procedures to facilitate deployment.11. Maintains systems integrity through change control and problem management procedures and communication with internal customers.12. Follows Standard Operating Procedures when carrying out position responsibilities.13. Attends and participates in team meetings.14. Participate in the after hours on call rotation.15. Act as a representative of the Networks & Infrastructure departmentThe key knowledge areas and skill set required are as outlined in Appendix C – Supplementary Specifications. North American job experience is considered an asset for this proposal. Proponents are encouraged to provide specific and qualitative verbiage of other areas where their expertise can add value to our teams and make our projects as successful as possible.The resource is required on site at SaskEnergy Head Office in Regina, Monday to Friday 8 am to 5 pm and the proposed hourly rate shall be inclusive of all travel and living costs. Occasional travel to support offices across the province will be required.Submitted resources MUST have a valid Class 5 Saskatchewan Driver’s License or equivalent to be considered. On-Call may be required as determined and agreed to by SaskEnergy and successful candidate; for example, a rotational on-call schedule in 1-week intervals.The initial term for this role(s) will conclude March 31, 2025; after which SaskEnergy will evaluate its’ ongoing requirements and potentially extend the term for this resource in accordance with the terms and conditions of the bidder’s Technology Master Service Agreement (TMSA).CONTRACT DURATIONThe Contract(s) will be effective for an initial term commencing on the date of award and ending on March 31, 2025. The Contract(s) will automatically renew for successive one (1) year terms, a maximum of four (4) times
