Please note that this is a hybrid role based out of our Burnaby, BC office. Applicants who are not located within commuting distance of our Head Office or are not looking to relocate to the Greater Vancouver/Lower Mainland/Fraser Valley region will not be considered.

Snag this opportunity as a Senior Data and Insights Analyst (Hybrid) with Evo Car Share based out of the Burnaby, BC office.

As a Senior Data and Insights Analyst you’ll be a key member helping advance and drive the success of BCAA’s car sharing program. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop models and analyze complex data to help drive Evo’s business decisions and growth plans.

Who you are

  • You’re an expert in a variety of complex datasets and can easily, analyze and communicate data and recommendations to non-technical leaders in a way that helps them make decisions.

  • You love learning about the evolution of the car sharing space in BC and continuously seek out areas to implement improvements. 

  • You’re a problem-solver who loves developing solutions in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. 

  • You are curious and possess an entrepreneurial mindset, along with exceptional analytical & critical thinking skills. 

  • You’re a natural communicator with the ability to report and communicate to all levels across the organization.

What you bring

  • Completion of a bachelor’s degree in finance, engineering, business, accounting, economics, computer science, or math-related subjects with emphasis on quantitative analysis and methods.

  • At least four years of experience in, Accounting, Reporting, or Analytics or Finance.

  • Very Strong SQL skills, and familiarity with other data analysis tools, such as Python, R and knowledge of Power BI Reporting.

  • Advance d MS Office skills (Excel: Queries, pivot tables, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).

  • Solid working knowledge of geospatial analytics and tools.

  • Bonus Skills: Familiar with predictive modeling techniques (i.e. logistic regression, clustering techniques and machine learning algorithms.

Once here, you will: 

  • Continuously seek out and identify areas to improve Evo’s car share performance, business practices, data quality and processes. 

  • Act as the departmental point of contact for data insight reporting and manage the efficient flow of documents and communications based on the data needs of the business.

  • Query the Database (SQL) for marketing and operational analysis needs.

  • Maintain management reporting tools including Power BI to to track metrics, design dashboards to assist with business and operational decisions. 

  • Prepare and deliver presentations, papers and emails and other data insight deliverables.

  • Conduct other analyst activities such as analytical modeling, testing hypotheses on growth strategies and visualizing complex information for strategic storytelling.

  • Be an effective team player and demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to changing work .

The salary range for this position is $85,536.24 to $ 106,920.24 , plus a performance bonus target of 9 %, with the opportunity to earn up to 15 %.
