Job Description
*Candidates must reside in the GTA area to be considered for this role as they will be required to be in office 3 days a week at the Toronto Corporate Office.
Role Function
The Senior Data Analyst will be a part of the Enterprise analytics team working closely with various business functions delivering key insights to meet their respective business objectives. We are looking for a curious techno functional individual who is passionate about mining data sets to deliver value aimed at business growth. The role will primarily revolve around building reports and insights for Non-Prime lending & other financial products for Product/Retail and Marketing functions.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
- 6+ years of Experience in Analysis & Reporting preferably from the financial services industry.
- Sound knowledge of financial products related to the areas of Product & Marketing.
- Experience with Tableau/ Power BI for Reporting & Analytics
- Advance level SQL scripting Experience and proven record of mining complex datasets.
- Experience with scripting languages and libraries such as Python/ R.
- Willingness to work and perform under fast- paced agile deadlines.
- Strong communicator and ability to interpret complex business requirements into insights.
- Demonstrate ownership and accountability of the deliverables.
- Be a strong team player and exhibit mentorship with other team members
- The Senior Data Analyst will be performing the following duties:
- Generate, optimize, and share output of recurring reports for stakeholders across multiple business functions.
- Build Tableau Dashboards enabling KPIs leveraging expert level functions & expressions.
- Build Datasets & reports using Analytical SQL expressions.
- Managing a queue of reporting requests related to report enhancements, reporting bug fixes.
- Day to Day support on Tableau Desktop and Server refreshing, bug-fixing, and enhancements
- Develop Business insights based on use cases leveraging R/Python
Qualifications
EDUCATION
- Required: A bachelor’s degree or higher in a quantitative field such as Business Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, or Finance
