Job Description
Position: Senior Cybersecurity Project Manager
Location: Downtown Toronto (on-site 4 days per week)
As a Senior Technical Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading IAM implementation and supporting other initiatives in Cybersecurity Space. You will be required to manage and coordinate the end-to-end project activities from initiation to implementation including project initiation with charter, kick-off, solution design, build, test, production implementation, post implementation review, issue resolution, status reporting and lessons learned. You work on multiple projects while leading and co-coordinating small teams of technicians responsible for the overall delivery of an assigned project.
Responsibilities:
- End-to-end project ownership from initiation to customer handover and project closure, with previous experience implementing enterprise class projects
- Lead and participate in project teams to implement project deliverables in line with stakeholder expectations
- Be responsible for project planning and resource allocation, working with virtual teams in a matrix organization
- Present status updates on project, with identification and management of Risks and Issues throughout the project
- Budget, receive invoices, and reconcile project costs
- Create meeting agendas as well as taking minutes tracking key discussions, action items and key decisions
- Control the project scope via change management process
- Manage the vendor relationship. Working with vendor team to ensure adherence to SoW schedule and deliverables
- Manage handover of project to operational status
- Manage and delegate tasks to experienced and senior technicians
Required Experience and Skills:
- Must have at least 6 years of full-time experience working as a project manager using Waterfall or Iterative project methodology and ideally
- Strong PM experience i.e. has managed project deliverables through all phases, managed project plans, delivery schedules, project financials
- Experience with scoping projects that have ambiguity
- Experience with managing enterprise-wide software implementation
- Experience with managing vendor PM to ensure adherence to SoW and schedule
- Strong communication skills, verbal and written
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills, identify early warning indicators
- Process documentation
- Working knowledge of data analytics concepts
- Knowledgeable of ITSM and ITIL concepts and be able to act as a bridge between functional and technical roles on projects
- Experienced in business solutions implementation
Soft Skills:
- Proficient at creating a schedule using MS Project (nice to have but not required) or smartsheet
- Proficient at using the Google Suite tools such as: Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Sheets, Forms, Slides
- Experience with Virtual meeting software such as Google Meets, Webex, Teamviewer and Zoom and communication tool Google Chat
Education:
Degree in Business Management, IT Tech is required
