Senior Content Designer

Duration: Permanent, Full-time

Who You Are:

We're looking for an experienced Content Designer to join us on our mission to move the world with imagery. This role is on the Ecommerce, Growth Design team, which is laser-focused on deepening our customers’ engagement with Getty Images and iStock. Growth Design is a lean, nimble team grounded in deep customer empathy and driven to learn what motivates them.

Growth Content Designers balance high-quality craft and crisp execution with agility and speed to learning. You may be a good match if you’re a rigorous systems-thinker, love to generate and test creative ideas quickly, and see big impact in the details. You understand how to read metrics to craft the product experience — and also how to look beyond the numbers to understand what customers really want.

Your Next Challenge:
  • Partner with product, design, data science, and research to build well-articulated experiment plans and shape the product roadmap
  • Design content that drives meaningful customer experiences with measurable business impact
  • Incorporate performance metrics and user research into content decisions for product experiences
  • Partner with analytics, data science and product to drive data driven optimization of purchase paths and growth loops across Acquisition, Activation, and Retention
  • You look beyond the words, thinking critically about what content is needed to achieve a specific goal, and how best to deliver that content
  • Be able to adapt to new technologies, use design tools like Figma and Miro, and have a good understanding of SEO practices
  • Build and advocate for clear, concise, and understandable language that best communicates our brand positioning and product value props externally
  • Develop frameworks, guidelines, audits, and processes to help define and enhance product content on Getty Images and iStock customer facing web sites
  • Share your work with other content designers and product designers and provide feedback during weekly crits
What You Will Need:
  • 3+ years of experience in writing, editorial, marketing, UX writing, or related, as well as leading content strategy projects
  • Experience writing for eCommerce UX using growth design principles
  • Ability to think, concept, and build at a systems level
  • Experience presenting to and interacting with executive leadership
  • Eagerness to shape product direction and vision from ideation through post-launch
  • Experience developing information architecture for complex documentation sets or product suites, including localization and accessibility best practices
  • Ability to adapt quickly and work independently in a fast-paced environment with shifting constraints
  • Experience collaborating with designers, product managers, and user researchers
  • Familiarity working with compliance and legal teams during the content development and approval process
  • A portfolio of work that demonstrates your gift for simplifying and improving user experiences
  • Bachelor's Degree in Technical Writing, English, Journalism, or equivalent experience
  • Experience planning and conducting basic UX research preferred
  • Experience working with agile development teams a plus
  • Experience working with localization teams, tools, and processes preferred
$83,600 - $111,500 a year
The starting salary range for this position at the time of posting is CAD $83,600 to CAD $111,500 per annum. Getty Images has different ranges in different locations within the US, and this range represents the starting base pay range. Actual compensation will depend on factors including but not limited to: qualifications, geographic location, skills, experience, certification, business needs, performance, and level of responsibility along with the requirements of the position.
