What you'll be doing

You’ll be joining CIBC’s Strategy and Process Improvement Team for collaboratively working on the design and building of innovative and desirable financial services experiences, focusing on key client-facing journeys that define a client’s relationship with CIBC, such as during a home purchase, a credit card fraud experience, or when requiring a financial plan to achieve their personal goals. The Senior Consultant, Strategy and Process Improvement will report to Director, Strategy & Process Improvement and will support teams across Security, Business Continuity, and Regulatory Reporting to enhance automation, data management, and lead interdisciplinary teams to proactively enhance security controls across CIBC.

How you'll succeed

Passionate About Security – You have a deep understanding of applied cybersecurity defense and threat actor behavior. You can make complex attack scenarios easy to understand for a business audience and make technical information accessible for a non-technical audience.

Strategic Proactive Mindset – You understand security industry trends and integrate them into scalable, defensive controls and work with a diverse team of security professionals to disrupt attacks and prevent impact.

Continuous Improvement – Provide a cross-disciplinary perspective and ongoing focus for continuous improvement and collaboration with partners across the enterprise. Make recommendations to business leaders to ensure alignment and enhancement of our systems, processes, and practices to current and future trends that will secure and safeguard CIBC.

Clear Communicator - You have impeccable communication skills and can tell a coherent story with overarching themes and an appropriate level of detail. Your communication style is clear and concise, such that you establish yourself as a trusted consultant. You inspire outcomes by making yourself heard.

Relationship & Partner Management - Develop and maintain productive relationships with designated business owners and lines of business peers to promote the exchange of best practices and process improvements.

Who You Are

5-10 years of experience in Security Strategy and Process Improvement.

CISSP is an asset, LSSBB is an asset, ITIL is an asset.

Proven technical skills and self-learning ability, capable of understanding the functional and technical aspects of complex systems.

You can identify, analyze, and present data in an easy-to-understand manner.

Technical writing experience to identify high-value facts, arranging them in order of informational priority, and organizing them into a document.

A deep understanding and application of agile methodologies.

Broad experience creating and supporting a long-term vision while delivering iteratively.

Skills in collaborating with other teams to build consensus and alignment across the organization.

Deep knowledge in organizing and prioritizing competing time demands.

Excellent ability to convey vision, roadmap, and requirements at all levels of the organization.
