Noveen Engineering Inc. is actively seeking a seasoned Construction Inspector with a solid background in overseeing sophisticated MTO or municipal highway, road, and bridge projects. We value versatile team players who bring enthusiasm to a flexible, collaborative work environment and possess stellar communication, analytical, and organizational skills.Role Responsibilities:Conduct challenging inspection duties, ensuring adherence to quality control measures.Perform rigorous site inspections, maintaining vigilance over construction activities to guarantee compliance with all relevant codes, standards, and specifications.Document instances of non-compliance and contribute to resolution discussions.Your inspection work may focus on one or more of the following areas: soils, concrete, mechanical, or electrical.Travel and potential relocation to field sites, particularly within the MTO’s Central and West Regions, are aspects of this role.Additional Duties:Perform daily inspections to monitor contract compliance and adherence to specifications.Oversee bridge and road inspections on ongoing projects.Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.Maintain detailed records, including diaries and photographs, of daily construction activities.Coordinate onsite sub-consultants and manage quality assurance for material testing.Oversee the reporting of installed quantities for monthly payment verifications and change order work.Manage project-related office files, quantity calculations, and other essential documentation.Qualifications:Minimum 10 years of experience in construction inspection, specifically with MTO or municipal transportation projects.Degree or Diploma in Construction Management or Civil Engineering, supplemented by relevant experience.Certification as an EIT or P.Eng. by PEO, or as a Road Construction Senior Inspector (rcsi) by OACETT.Familiarity with MTO’s Construction Administration and Inspection Standards (CAIS).Knowledge of design standards, OPS specifications, standard drawings, and QA/QC material testing methods.Excellent organizational and interpersonal communication skills.Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and CMS software.Holder of a valid Class “G” driver’s license.Ability to lift up to 30kg.We invite you to bring your expertise to Noveen Engineering Inc., where your contributions will be valued and your career growth will be a priority.
